Christmas 2009: Thompson Lane

We did the Thompson family Christmas the day after Christmas this year, and we had such a nice day for a walk in the woods.
Nathan bundled Marley up good before we set out.

Alayna rocking Granddaddy Longlegs' gloves and her bright yellow whistle.

Ben found a good spot to squat.

The kids with Granddaddy and Nathan at the campsite.

Me, Nate and the kids on the big fallen tree.

Ben, Brody and Marley take in the views.

Marley's red-headed temper coming out. I love Alayna's look: "What's up with that kid?"

Nathan, Alayna, Marley and Granddaddy.

Nathan gives Alayna a lift.

Marley's turn.

Ben and Alayna, walking with Granddaddy.

Some of the sights along the way:
A neighbor's barn beside the pond.

The moon rising through the trees.

Back at the house: Grandma Penny and Rachel.

Opening gifts: The "big kids" - Marley, Alayna, Ben, Aaron and Brody.

The girls with their new scarves.

The big boys open their gifts.

Aaron helps Granddaddy open his gifts.

Mom with the necklace I made her, mostly out of beads from Grandma Thompson's and Grandma Wolff's old necklaces.

Rachel with the necklace I made her.

My new scarf and gloves from Rachel.

Nathan's new Auburn hat from Rachel.

Mom counting her money from Dad. Scary. ;-)

Aaron trying out his new glow writer.

Ben and Nathan have a little art time.

Chad and Rachel get ready to head out on a date.

The big kids ready to eat some dinner.

Grandma Penny feeds Andrew his first round of dinner.

Full tummy = happy baby!

But now he's ready for round two, with a little help from Granddaddy and Marley.

Finally all that eating tuckered the baby out!

And all that fun tuckered us out, too. It was another great Christmas Day!
